We are honored to announce that the Sheriff’s Office will be showcasing their Incident Command Vehicle at the Disaster Response Expo! This isn’t just a truck—it’s a high-tech, multi-function hub that brings massive capability to emergency services right here in Cascade County. Come see this mobile command center in person, explore the technology that coordinates our local response, and talk to the deputies who keep us safe every day.

Founded just before the attack on Pearl Harbor, the Civil Air Patrol has spent over 80 years in service to our nation. As the official U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, they are a vital asset in Search and Rescue missions, but their impact goes far beyond the cockpit. They will be showcasing their role in emergency services and sharing information about their incredible cadet program, which trains youth ages 12 and up in aerospace education, leadership, and community service. Whether you’re interested in high-tech search and rescue or want to see how our local youth are preparing for the future, you won’t want to miss their exhibit.

At the heart of every emergency response in our community is Cascade County Disaster and Emergency Services (DES). Their commitment is clear: to preserve life, property, and the environment through the seamless coordination of dozens of response agencies and partners. Under the leadership of Taylor Harrell, this team works behind the scenes with everyone from our Rural Fire Districts and EMS to the National Forest Service and the Community Emergency Response Team (C.E.R.T.). At the Expo, you’ll see exactly how these moving parts come together to ensure our county is ready for anything.
