All elements, and cables in place... and "UP SHE GOES!"  Bob - N7CZ manning the Crank, while Cam, Roy, and Kelly maneuver the guy lines into position.

(LEFT) The initial "Smoke Test" - Event coordinator Bob Avritt - N7CZ tunes up the the special event station at the National Weather Service Building.  (RIGHT) the rest of the set up crew: (standing left to right) Kelly Bersch - KC7CSB - Roy Patte - W7MBV, and Cam Smith - N7NBB.  Not Pictured: Barry Fields - KD7GKJ - event photographer.

Bob - N7CZ readies the logging program, TRlog, on his IBM/486.  HF radio was an ICOM 751 that was fed into a Heathkit SB-201 Amplifier, and out to the antenna.  A Heathkit antenna Tuner, below the radio, was also placed into operation from time to time.   Monitors in the background were part of the NWS equipment and not part of W7W.

(LEFT) Dawn Peterson-Smith - KD7FMT takes a turn mike side, while Barry Fields - KD7GKJ logs the contacts.  Mya Avritt also took her turn at logging and did a great job!  (ABOVE) Cam Smith - N7NBB logs for his wife and enjoys an essential part of any contest operation... SNACKS  and CAFFEINE.
